Round 3 of our Peninsula construction snapshot is out, and confirms what visitors to the area probably already know: the number of construction projects is still on the increase. The Tanzania Investment Centre (TIC) reported that in 2023, more than two-thirds of the registered projects were under Commercial Construction, Manufacturing, and Transportation.

Investment in these sectors accounted for nearly $3.9 billion out of the estimated total investment of $5.67 billion from January to December 2023. This is a reflection of wider optimism in the Tanzanian economy, but take a look at the infographic below for a few caveats to the positive growth.
